John is a 1987 graduate of Insurance of Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo, Lagos State.  He also holds an MBA from Edo State University, Ekpoma.  His insurance career started in 1989 when he joined Femi Johnson & Co. [Insurance Brokers] after the one-year compulsory NYSC progamme with Great Nigeria Insurance Co. Ltd.

He is a rare insurance professional that has garnered diverse wealth of experience and knowledge by working in all arms of the insurance industry; these include, Career Ins. Brokers Ltd, Standard Trust Assurance Plc and Baico Ins. Plc.  He was the DGM [operations] of Investment and Allied Ins. Co. Ltd until joining UTIB Insurance Brokers Ltd. in 2004.

John is an Associate of both The Chartered Insurance Institute of London [ACII] and The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria [AIIN].  He is an Associate of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers as well as being a member of the Society of Fellows of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London.
